Application

• For all applications in the construction world, sanitary world and general maintenance. Tec7 replaces mounting glue, wood glue, PU glue, silicone sealant, sanitary silicone sealant, acrylic sealant, butylene sealant.
• Tec7 adheres to most surfaces and does not affect plastics.
• On mirrors (vertical adhesive strips), on natural stone (does not bleed through), on polyester, on polystyrene foam, on damp surfaces, even under water.
• Can be painted over with most common paints (alkyd resin based lacquer applied over Tec7 will dry more slowly).
• Tec7 has less adhesion to PP, PE, bitumen and silicone.

Instructions

• Processing temperature between +5°C and +40°C.
• Apply to a clean, dust- and grease-free surface.
• Use Tec7 Prepare & Finish for safe cleaning and degreasing, for a perfect finish and for the removal of uncured Tec7 polymers. Clean with heavy soiling using Tec7 Cleaner and/or Multiclean.
• Apply by hand or air gun (preferably with telescopic plunger).
• Due to the wide variety of different plastics and compositions, as well as materials susceptible to stress corrosion cracking, preliminary testing is recommended.
• Test the adhesion on plastics, powder coatings, exotic woods and bituminous materials.
• Reinforce weak and/or porous substrates with Fixprimer first.
• Due to the variety of lacquers and paints on the market, testing is recommended. Using products based on alkyd resins can slow down the drying process.
• When gluing mirrors in sanitary areas, only apply vertical adhesive strips to avoid stagnant moisture due to condensation.
• Ideal adhesive thickness for optimum bonding strength: 3 mm.

• Chemical resistance:
  • Good: water, seawater, aliphatic solvents, oils, fats, diluted organic acids, alkalis
  • Moderate: esters, ketones, aromatics.
  • Bad: concentrated acids, chlorinated solvents, chlorine from swimming pools.
• Shelf life: 18 months from production. The first seven digits of the batch number form the production date: YY WW DDD, where YY = year (19 = 2019), WW = week and DDD = day.
