Rit Black Fabric Dye Powder

The Rit All-Purpose Powder Dye in black is a versatile fabric dye suitable for various materials, including cotton, linen, wool, rayon, silk, and nylon. It can also dye items like paper, wicker, and wood. Each 31.9g packet is sufficient to dye approximately 1 lb (450g) of dry fabric or about 3 yards of medium-weight material. The dye works well for refreshing faded clothing, restoring color, or creating vibrant DIY projects like tie-dye or other patterns.

To use, dissolve the dye in hot water and submerge the fabric, ensuring even coloring. For best results, pre-wash the fabric to remove finishes or stains. For dark or bright results, double the dye quantity and add salt for cotton or vinegar for silk, wool, and nylon. Note that it is not suitable for fabrics like polyester, acrylic, or acetate unless blended with natural fibers​
