The compact, electric Z1 kitchen machine effortlessly grates and slices a variety of vegetables, fruits, cheese, nuts, chocolate, and other foods. The set includes four interchangeable discs made of high-quality stainless steel: coarse and fine grating discs, a slicing disc, and a universal disc, for example, for Bircher muesli. A rotating scraper ensures optimal ejection of the sliced material. The electric motor with two speeds delivers consistently high performance even under heavy use. The integrated automatic shutdown stops the discs when the central locking mechanism is opened, enhancing safety.

The company Zyliss was founded in 1951 by bicycle mechanic and inventor Karl Zysset (1907 - 1988) in Lyss, a small village near Bern. Zyliss invented the garlic press in 1948 and the salad spinner in 1978, and registered many other patents throughout his career. The "Blitzhacker", introduced in 1953 and later known as ZICK-ZICK, became a much-copied classic.
