Linseed oil, pressed from the linseeds of the flax flower, contains specific properties for a wide variety of applications, from food and paint to soap and cleaning products. This versatility gave miller Gustave Vandeputte the idea in 1887 to press linseed in his windmill in the southwest of Flanders.
